How selling works
Talk it through
Your timing, your goals and where you are moving next. The services and the fee are agreed in writing before the home is listed.
Set the price
Look at what similar homes nearby have recently sold for, to set a realistic asking price. This is a comparison with the market, not an appraisal.
Get the home ready
Small repairs, decluttering and cleaning before the photos and the first showing.
List and show
The home is listed for sale and marketed, and buyers book showings to see it.
Offers, then closing
You review each offer and its conditions and decide what to accept. Once the conditions are met the sale is firm, and your lawyer completes it on closing day.
